Daschle

Senator Daschle, while holding a leadership role in the Senate, and his wife, a lobbyist in DC, represented one of the worst health care crisis known to exist in the US, the Pine Ridge reservation, where 3rd world health care was the norm. While infant mortality S.D. outside of the reservation was 5 in 1000, on the Pine Ridge it was 13 in 1000 - almost 3 times as high.
If a Vet is not receiving his promised benefits, its recommended that they contact their senators and representatives but we saw no effort on Daschle's part except a failed attempt at sending more money. We know much of their funding is siphoned off before it reaches the recipients so tossing money at the problem doesn't help.
The Senate leadership does not bring up a bill unless they know if it will pass or fail. So that attempt was a PR ploy.
The people of South Dakato FIRED Daschle. How often does that happen to a sitting senator.
I'm scared to death of any plan Daschle takes a leadership role in creating. Death being the optimal word.
